At Greenleaf, we inhabit the intersection of public relations, social media and content marketing. We don’t just Tweet your news releases — we synthesize tactics of all three into powerful communications strategies that help you meet your business goals.
We also focus on just a few related industries: healthcare, employee benefits and talent management. This allows us to grow deep and long-lasting relationships with editors and industry influencers. It enables us to speak the industry vernacular, track the trends and navigate hidden power structures.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
For our clients — We have a very short learning curve. That means more time getting you traction and less time getting up to speed. It also means that we approach our work in a high-level strategic manner, creating campaigns that leverage our industry clout to meet your business goals.
For editors and reporters — We know our stuff and we have a wealth of industry contacts. Call us any time to noodle on story ideas or to find a source for your story.
For trade organizations and other industry influencers — Looking to brainstorm content marketing ideas? Need a resource? Just give us a holler. We’re always happy to help.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER
As a communications manager for Aetna in Hartford, Connecticut, Tamara Greenleaf worked side-by-side with global PR agencies. It didn’t take her long to see that when it comes to getting results, “big” often has little to do with getting the traction clients need. In 1989 she founded Greenleaf to prove her point and has been helping companies achieve their communications goals ever since.
At Aetna, she oversaw marketing/PR for three divisions of the company, as well as crisis communications. Before that she was a marketing writer for Sonalysts, a naval R&D company, where she honed her project management skills to the knife-point of military precision.
Often called “Attila the Greenleaf” for her ability to skillfully punch projects through to completion, Tamara provides high-level strategy, manages accounts and infuses everything we deliver with her passion for inspired storytelling.
She is co-author of two HR-related books for Gen Y new hires and interns. Both are available on Amazon.com.

As Greenleafʼs director, she has worked with companies of all sizes, from Fortune 100 giants to hot-under-the-collar start-ups and has positively influenced the careers of more than one CEO. She is an award-winning writer, and has served on the boards of many business associations. In her spare time, Tamara writes fiction and is finishing up her first novel. She holds a double B.A. in English and Anthropology from Connecticut College.
TALENT PARTNERS
The Greenleaf team of talent partners is a well-oiled machine of copywriters, designers, videographers, photographers, animators, coders and subject matter experts who have worked together for years. We finish each othersʼ sentences, sometimes communicate by ESP and occasionally resort to a Skype-transmitted hand gesture. Weʼre bonded by a common dislike of unnecessary drama and, more importantly, our passion for great creative work.
